Long before she ran for office, Pramila was there for immigrant communities.  She has been a strong, smart advocate for DREAMers, and has been a passionate spokesperson on the national stage for comprehensive immigration reform. She has the depth of national, state and local experience to hit the ground running in Congress.  We know she will work tirelessly for equity and justice for all.
Mauricio Ayon
Political Director, Washington Community Action Network*

Pramila knows how to turn an idea into a movement, and she knows how to make the system work for working people.
Todd Crosby
President, UFCW 21

Our country has never before elected an Indian-American woman to Congress, but Pramila is poised to be the first – and the EMILY's List community is proud to endorse her historic campaign for Washington State working families.
Stephanie Schriock
President, EMILY's List

I'm supporting Pramila because she understands the systemic issues impacting workers and people of color, and engages deeply with communities to address these social justice issues. Through community organizing and movement building, she's fought for real solutions that benefit our members, such as $15 minimum wage and paid sick days in Seattle. Pramila represents the progressive, movement-based voice that is much needed in Washington, D.C.
Andrea Canini
UAW 4121

Pramila Jayapal has the progressive values of the people of the 7th District, and acts on that consciousness every day.  She will be a great member of Congress.
Larry Gossett
Councilmember, Martin Luther King Jr. County

Pramila Jayapal is a leader that only comes around once a generation. Our corner of the country has been leading the charge against economic inequality and for social justice, and she is the exact leader we should send to Congress to continue our march toward a more equitable and just nation.
Jon Grant
former Executive Director, Seattle Tenants Union

State Senator Jayapal has a strong, progressive record of leadership on the issues most important to FOE Action and our members. She is a respected advocate for a healthy and just world who boldly addresses social justice, democratic reform and takes on institutional racism. She represents the future of environmentalism, and will bring a deep understanding of the intersection of justice and environmental issues in Washington to the U.S. Congress.
Erich Pica
President, Friends of the Earth

Pramila Jayapal is the kind of leader we need for the times we live in. Pragmatic, passionate, and committed to the vitality of our communities, Pramila will bring her incredible work ethic and her commitment to justice into the halls of Congress. I am excited to support her!
The Rev. Cecilia Kingman
Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Church*

[Pramila Jayapal] will help change the face of Congress, an advance that is long overdue. She will be a powerful progressive voice for those who are being left behind: low- and middle-income women and their families, communities of color, and immigrant families. If there’s anyone who speaks truth to power, it’s Pramila, and she’ll hit the ground running with a progressive agenda that brings urgently needed change to the people who need it most.
Terry O'Neill
President, National Organization for Women*

Senator Jayapal has been an acknowledged champion of civil rights and social justice long before she became a public official. She has a record of being smart and determined in pursuing effective solutions that really benefit working families. We need her in Congress.
Nick Licata
former Seattle City Councilmember and author of Becoming a Citizen Activist

Senator Jayapal is a leader with great vision for how to best represent the needs of the 7th district in the greatest challenge of our nation - income inequality. I've known Pramila since the 2001 formation of Hate Free Zone Washington where she led Seattle, working closely with law enforcement, to pass the first post 9-11 legislation for safe communities by guaranteeing access to city services - especially police services- regardless of immigration status. Pramila knows what people need and will work hard to get us the results that will lead to a more just nation.
Lisa Herbold
Seattle City Councilmember, City of Seattle District 1 (West Seattle)

Senator Jayapal brings a fresh new angle to Washington State; putting forth bills & advocating for us with her personal touch & passions. It is my hope that she will be elected to Congress, so she may then help our federal lawmakers learn to do the same.
Gina Owens
Health Care and Community Advocate

We need a candidate who has a record of power-building, inspiring disillusioned Americans to vote and organize for a democracy rooted in inclusion and justice for all. That candidate for me has to be Pramila Jayapal.
Rebecca Saldaña
Executive Director Puget Sound Sage*

Pramila engages people to action and brings voices to the table that have long been ignored. Her dedication to public service has earned the trust of the community.  She's never shied away from difficult conversations-- instead, uses courageous conversations as opportunities to deepen understanding to find common ground.
Sheley Secrest
Former Director of Seattle NAACP and civic rights advocate

With great enthusiasm, I endorse Senator Pramila Jayapal for Congress! I’ve known Pramila for over a dozen years: she’s a collaborator, fighter, and a visionary. She has proven her ability to translate the values I hold dear—building a better future for our children and advancing racial equity—into enduring policies that increase opportunity for everyone. Pramila will be bold, honest, and accountable to us, the people. I can’t wait to have her in Congress, fighting for us all.
Jon Gould
Child Advocate

I’ve admired Pramila since first meeting her in Congressman McDermott’s office right after 911 when hate-filled speech and actions were prevalent. As founder of Hate-Free Zone, which later became One America, she has never veered off-course. She is a dynamic and articulate local and national leader for peace and justice.
Alice Woldt
Executive Director, Fix Democracy First!*

I am a proud Indo-American of Washington State as I talk to my neighbors, friends and colleagues about the advocate for working people -  Pramila Jayapal. Pramila is no stranger to Washington's Indo -American community as we have admired and shared her journey from the Hate Free Zone to OneAmerica to the WA State Senate and onwards to Congress and DC. I believe the country needs strong, clear and fearless leadership and Pramila is certainly that leader. A movement builder, Pramila truly is the bridge between the community and the leadership working each day to bring healthcare and education to working families while ensuring immigration reform continues. An approachable, gentle and warm leader, Pramila will strive each day as the Congresswoman willing to go the extra mile for the people.  We wish her success in this special journey which is as much ours as is hers.
Lalita Uppala
Director and ex-President, Indian Association of Western Washington*

I have known Pramila Jayapal since 2001, when she founded the organization, Hate Free Zone (which later became OneAmerica), in the wake of 9/11 terrorist attack.  Pramila is a very bold, progressive leader for immigrant communities, civil rights and less fortunate members of the society.  She has been a tireless advocate at the local and national levels for comprehensive immigration reform for a long time.  Senator Jayapal is determined in pursuing effective solutions that really benefit working families.  She is a very dynamic, articulate leader for peace and justice. Pramila will be very effective in the Congress from day one due to her dedication to serve the "have-not” constituents always.  I am very honored to endorse her for the 7th Congressional District as our enthusiastic choice.
Jagdish Sharma
Chair-Emeritus, Indo American Friendship Forum (IAFF) & Past CAPPA Chair*
