Please join our fabulous event hosts: Shelmina Abji, Suzanne Hayward, Nahil Sharkasi & Richard Wang to meet and support Washington State Senator & Candidate for U.S. Congress WA-07, Pramila Jayapal.

BIO: Pramila Jayapal is running for Congress to have a strong voice of principle in power, and to make sure that Congress represents working families—not the wealthiest corporations. She has led movements for immigrants, workers and women's rights for 25 years and built the largest immigrant advocacy organization in the state. Pramila also helped to pass the $15 minimum wage and led the largest voter registration drive in the history of the state. As a state senator, she passed legislation to invest millions into pre-apprenticeship programs for working people, expanded access to contraceptives for millions of low-income women, and invested in higher education. In Congress, she will fight for the same progressive values: raising the minimum wage, expanding Social Security and Medicare, promoting a clean energy economy, making debt-free college a reality, and protecting women’s access to reproductive health care. Pramila has the values, judgment and experience to represent us—we need her in Congress!
