Pramila for Congress 2024 Finance Director
Job Title: Finance Director
General Information: Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, Washington’s 7th Congressional District Representative and chair of the Progressive Caucus, is seeking a Finance Director for the 2024 cycle. This role will help further our progressive movement by funding the Congresswoman’s campaign and her organizing program to support progressives running for office across the country.
The duration of this full-time role will be 6-8 months total. This position will report to the Campaign Manager. Remote candidates will be considered, although there is a strong preference for candidates who are located in or willing to relocate to the Seattle area.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Campaign Manager and consultants to implement the Finance Plan.
Execute fundraising strategies across various revenue streams such as call time, events, PACs, and digital fundraising, in accordance with the Finance Plan.
Work with consultants to establish and monitor fundraising goals, adjusting strategies as needed to meet campaign financial targets.
Oversee the campaign's call time program, including donor prospecting, list management, staffing, and follow-up.
Coordinate fundraising events and initiatives, including logistics, materials preparation, donor engagement, and staffing.
Build and maintain relationships with major donors and campaign stakeholders.
Assist in executing PAC and digital fundraising strategies as directed by finance consultants.
Foster collaboration and alignment between finance efforts and other campaign departments.
Assist in coordinating the candidate’s campaign calendar with the scheduler.
Coordinate with the campaign team to prepare for and staff political and fundraising meetings.
Develop strategies to address fundraising deficiencies based on issues and demographics.
Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Campaign Manager.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in campaign fundraising, with a strong understanding of finance operations and strategies.
Positive, collaborative attitude with a commitment to achieving campaign objectives.
Proficiency in NGP, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
At least two cycles of political fundraising experience.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Access to a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and personal laptop.
Ability to relocate to Seattle (if not already located in Seattle).
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,000-8,000, depending on experience, includes health care, dental, and vision. Expected duration of this role is June - December 2024.
