Pramila Jayapal: I Have Not Made Any Endorsement for Seattle City Council Position 4

SEATTLE – Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal issued the following statement regarding her current Seattle City Council endorsements:

“It has come to my attention that door literature for The People for Shaun Scott campaign has been sent out with a photo that includes an image of my campaign logo, implying that I have endorsed Mr. Scott.  This is simply not true and is a violation of the Washington State Fair Campaign Practices Act. I have not made any endorsement for Seattle City Council Position 4 and have no plans to do so at this time.  I wanted to clarify the record and ensure that voters know that Mr. Scott has not received my endorsement.”

The Congresswoman’s attorney has sent a letter to The People for Shaun Scott campaign notifying them of the violation of the Washington State Fair Campaign Practices Act.
